Classes of boat

The island's north coast offers a large expanse of open but sheltered water making it ideal for all classes of dinghies and catamarans. From Mirror to 49er, Sprint 15 to Tornado - there's no restriction on the type of dinghy or catamaran that can be sailed.

Some of the boats currently at the club include:

Dinghies: 49er, 505, Osprey, Laser 4000, Laser 2, Solo, Laser 3000, 420, Blaze, Laser, Topper
Cats: Dart 18, Sprint 15, Shadow X, Nacra F18, Nacra 6, Tornado

Racing is currently organised on a handicap basis, but there are small fleets of:

 
Dart 18s Lasers Solos Ospreys Blazes
Dart 18 catamaran Laser dinghy Solo dinghy Osprey dinghy  

At one time the island had the largest fleet of Tornados and Scorpions in the country.

Other popular fleets in the past have included: Hurricanes, Unicorns, 505s, GP14s, Enterprises, Signets, Moths and Mirrors.
